I live in Cleveland, along the shores of Lake Erie, with my husband and two daughters. I am an Ambassador with the Alliance for the Great Lakes and a volunteer with the Cleveland Metroparks Watershed Volunteer Program.

I launched this blog in February 2023 with the goal of inspiring love and respect for the Great Lakes as a place and an extraordinary natural resource. Along the way I’ve realized that there is a second goal: Offering a compelling look at this region. It’s a great place to live or visit. It’s time to dismantle the declining rust belt image and build a new story.
